January 5th-7th
By Friday, you should have your blog for December complete. The January one is also up, so go ahead and do both if you have the time. Vocab is due ON THE GOOGLE CLASSROOM. Make sure that you have yours in by midnight on Wednesday. I wont accept paper copies anymore. Let's save some trees. Friday is your vocab test 10.
Thanksgiving
By November 30th, please read up to p.167 "Valentine Heart". You will also be tested on 2/3's of your IRB's on the Wednesday you return. The blog for the assignments are up on smequines.blogspot.com.
November 17th-19th You should all be reading a lot! I am not giving you any class time to read because we will be starting our Clash of Clans tournament. You all wanted to push back your IRB test, so you won't be tested on your IRB until you get back from break, when you will be tested on 2/3's of your book. All quizzes for The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian are up on Quizstar.
Monday- Get new vocab words. Read. There is a new Diary quiz up that covers up to p.83, "Slouching Towards Thanksgiving".
Tuesday- We will be in the library trying out emulators so we can play Clash together
Wednesday- Discuss Thanksgiving. vocab HWK 9 due

October 27th- 31st As some of you might have noticed, I have been out with a substitute. My father is very ill and I am spending time with him. I should be back in the next week or so. UPDATE: We are redoing week 6 words! No homework and you will be tested on week 6 words again. You do need to choose your next IRB quickly. You will research the books in class and write another letter to be signed by your guardians.
Monday- Vocab Words Start reading about Amy Tan.
Tuesday- Read about family roles in China.
Wednesday- You need to pick your new IRBs!!! The book is due in class on November 11th and the first reading is due a week after that, so get your book and start reading.
Thursday- Vocab review in class. Read/analyze "Two Kinds"; Write an IRB letter to your parents. Have this signed and in class by Monday.
Friday- Vocab test 6- Redo!; Review your short story elements for a short story unit test on Monday.
